Alumni

Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Alumni page.

The goal of the Alumni Relations office is to promote the fraternal bond that exists among Benedictine alumni.  We promote this bond through a number of efforts such as helping alumni stay in contact with one another, providing contact information and meeting space for those planning class reunions, serving as the liaison between the school and the Alumni Association, and assisting the Alumni Association in the planning and coordination of events.

We hope that you will find the information on this website useful. Please feel free to contact the Alumni Relations office for more information.

Reunions

The reunion class is primarily responsible for planning class reunions and the Alumni Relations office can assist class representatives in providing classmates’ contact information as well as helping to make campus facilities available.

Alumni Hall is perfect for social gatherings.  When planning a weekend reunion, classes often use the Hall to host a Friday evening “kick-off” reception.  Alumni Hall can accommodate approximately 70 people for a reception or 50 for a seated dinner.

The Cafetorium is useful for larger gatherings and can accommodate 200 guests for a seated dinner.  Different seating arrangements are available for a dinner/dance and other types of gatherings.  A stage is also available for use.

To obtain a class roster or reserve on-campus facilities, please contact the Alumni Relations office at (912) 644-6532 or william.fleming@bcsav.net.

Other reunion news:

Each year, BC recognizes its 25 and 50-year reunion classes at the Homecoming game.  Because the game is in the fall, the honored classes are those who will be celebrating their reunions the following calendar year.  Homecoming 2009 will recognize the classes of 1985 and 1960 on the football field.

Survivors’ Club

The Survivor’s Club began as a multiple-class reunion and has grown into a group for all alumni who attended the old BC on Bull Street (1902-1963).  This group meets for lunch on the second Monday of every other month at the Johnny Harris Banquet Hall.  Over 70 “BC Survivors) typically attend these luncheons.  The Club continues to honor its motto, “No dues, No speakers.”
